And another rare Miata. I should start keeping tabs or something on how many rare Miatas I find. This one is a beautiful 10th Anniversary Edition, and it could be my greatest find yet. The interior is in the correct blue colored seats and correct carpeting/shift boot/top color combination. The optional 10th anniversary floor mats are included, make sure to check the trunk pics. This car from 1999 has 72k miles, is going for just under 10k (FAIR price.) has power everything (Geez, my Miata has no power door locks. This one has it. Damnit.) I also spy some definitely not stock slotted brake rotors, that’s always nice and may indicate that the previous owner was an enthusiast and took care of the machine. The exterior color is unique to this special edition Miata, and the interior and soft top color combinations are unique as well. All 10th Anniversary Editions also feature a Nardi steering wheel and shifter knob in two-toned black and blue leather, a Bose sound system, a six-speed transmission, chromed gauge rings, (fake) carbon-fiber center console panel trim, highly-polished alloy wheels, (Which weight 13 pounds each.) sports suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers (Very nice. Blistein yellows are lifetime shocks!) and a front strut bar.
“Each car was sequentially numbered on a badge on the driver-side front quarter panel. A “Certificate of Authenticity” with the same number came with each car, signed by Mazda President James E. Miller and dated “10 February 1999.” On certain markets, a gift set was also included, consisting of a 1/24 scale diecast model, two Seiko-branded wristwatches (his and hers) with matching blue faceplate and Miata logo, and a metal keychain in the form of the Miata logo, all encased in a luxury blue velveted box.” Make sure to inquire about these gifts and the certificate of authenticity if you are a potential buyer.
This specific car is also cerified by Mazda and comes with a 100k mile warranty. Only 7500 units of the 10th AE were ever produced, so don’t miss on the chance of owning a future classic and a collectible car! Photos and seller information follow, click here for the Autotrader ad. Winter is almost gone, and when it is those low Miata prices will go with it. Hurry!
The quintessential sports car; Special edition-collectable potential; Fun to drive; Drops the top; Comes with beautiful slotted rotors; Comes with factory options (Floor mats); Previous owner could have taken good care of the car; Spotless engine bay.
None that I could find. Just make sure to inspect the car closely as you would inspect any possible car purchase. Look out for signs of damage and repaint.
